The conversion commencement ceremony for Livestock carrier “Heshun” was held on May 7th at DSIC. According to the contract, the vessel will be delivered in June 2016. After conversion, the effective fence area is 6400m2. This conversion project is the pioneer to response the newly signed trade agreement between China and Australia, which will allow Australia to export one million cattle per year to China. MDS, as the equity partner, targets to build up a fleet of more than 10 vessels within the coming two years, including conversion and newbuilding.
